La película “Oppenheimer”, dirigida por Christopher Nolan, se perfila como la gran favorita para la 96ª edición de los Óscar que se celebrará este domingo. Con 13 nominaciones en su haber, incluyendo las categorías de mejor película, dirección y actuaciones principales y secundarias.
La ceremonia, que comenzará a las 16:00 de la tarde, hora de Los Ángeles, Estado Unidos, en el Teatro Dolby, contará con la presentación de Jimmy Kimmel.
“Oppenheimer”, que narra la vida del “padre de la bomba atómica”, genera altas expectativas, especialmente por las actuaciones de Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr y Emily Blunt.
Sin embargo, el film de Nolan no es la única contendiente de la noche. “Poor Things”, del director griego Yorgos Lanthimos, y “Killers of the Flower Moon”, de Martin Scorsese, llegan con 11 y 10 nominaciones respectivamente. Ambas películas cuentan con fuertes candidatas a mejor actriz: Emma Stone y Lily Gladstone.
Stone, que ya ganó un Óscar por “La La Land” en 2016, podría llevarse su segundo galardón. Por otro lado, Gladstone podría hacer historia como la primera actriz indígena estadounidense en ganar un Óscar.
En la categoría masculina, Murphy parece ser el favorito para llevarse el Óscar a mejor actor, al igual que su compañero de reparto en “Oppenheimer”, Downey Jr. Sin embargo, Brad Pitt, también nominado por “Barbie”, podría dar la sorpresa de la noche.
La ceremonia de los Óscar será transmitida en vivo por TNT Series para Latinoamérica y Max (antes HBO Max). La alfombra roja comenzará a las 2:00 de la tarde hora local (6:00 pm en Venezuela), seguida de la ceremonia principal a las 4:00 pm (8:00 de la noche en nuestro país).
